About the Lions Club of Diggers Rest

The Lions Club of Diggers Rest was Chartered in 1981 and is part of the Lions International network of 1.3 million men and women in 201 countries and geographic areas who work together to provide for their communities.

Our Lions Club started with 23 members back in 1981 and 5 of those Charter Members are still in the club today, all 5 were made Life Members of the Lions Club of Diggers Rest in 2006 at our 25th Silver Anniversary Charter Dinner night.

Today the Lions Club of Diggers Rest currently has 19 members who are all passionate in supporting the small community of Diggers Rest. We raise funds any way we can by catering with our food van, BBQ's at Bunnings, running raffles, selling books and our Annual Auction and Community Fair. All of our hard work is completely voluntary and all the money we raise goes back into Lions Projects to help the community.
